Ooh, I've seen Geneshaft. Never really caught me, though. Nice enough premise, but the execution I found to be a little 'meh'.

MACROSS. Well, I can't really diss Robotech, seeing as I loved it up until I saw the original Macross show. Now I think it's a travesty.

Macross 7 probably isn't well known, and never will be, hopefully, because if that ever gets localized, Harmony Gold will rape that show like a catholic priest in a kindergarten. I think Macross Zero will eventually permeate the anime community, though, it's just too kick-ass a show to not know about.

I can't believe no one's listed Space Battleship Yamato or Captain Harlock. I gotta' go find those DVD's, I'm getting nostalgic just thinking about it. Actually, are those even on DVD yet?

I got a look at the DVD menus for the Domestic Release! (4 DVDs)

Boys Be is an excellent series also. Good romance tale from the side of the boys involved, which is unusual, and some good parts in both the comedic and romantic arenas.
