I just saw the first ep - intriguing. Seems a bit less straightforward than Eva's beginning, though it might just be layers of mysticism in the imagery. Visually, very cool. Great animation. We'll see where it takes us next...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

You have to use EndIf in order for the If statements to work.Propyro wrote:err ok it's code time ... or half code time ...ChibiViVa wrote:*hugs propyro for no reason* WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

....Really now? Let's break it down.Propyro wrote:oh yea ... i forgot rah xephon's only 6 volumes long ...
Evangelion:
26 Episodes - 8 DVDs
2 Movies - 2 DVDs
RahXephon:
26 Episodes - 7 DVDs
1 Movie - 1 DVD
And there you have it RahXephon has approximately the same amount of content as Evangelion does, seeing as Eva's Death & Rebirth is a retelling of the first 24 episodes of the TV series, and the first half of the End Of Evangelion movie. The RahXephon movie, as far as I know, has not been released on DVD yet in Japan, though I imagine it would only encompass one DVD. BTW, Propyro, RahXephon is spread across six DVDs, not seven. Either that, or my box has a slot for the movie

errr rozzard ... is your computer showing 6's as 7's?
Read my posts ... and yours ... in my post i said it was 6 volumes long ... in your post you said it was seven ... untill the last sentance where you "corrected" me ...
but sof ar from what i see, RahXephon has more eps per dvd, and each DVD has much better extras. I mean hell, Eva's extras that i saw were quite lame ...

Ok, got up to ep. 4 today...
What can I say - it's delivering. The whole 'Eva ripoff' thing, so far, has proven to be nothing but squealing of NGE fanboys... I mean, while there are some clear similarities, the closest I've observed is the extreme likeness of Haruka's personality to that of Misato. Otherwise - meh. Very different.
Now, was I just seeing/hearing things, or was there something in Ep. 3, especially the opening/closing that seemed to mess with the flow of time signatures? Given what's revealed in ep. 4, that would be possible... both me and my brother noticed it.
In any case, the only obstacle to this show ending up as one of my favorites that I can think of would be if what I'm seeing now is too much, too soon. If it manages to keep up with the present pace, it'll turn out great.
