First off, I will agree with Amaranth; love cannot even be defined in such a way that everyone agrees with it, and it often makes no sense. I think that the relationship, while extremely difficult to maintain in the long run, is valid and based on both Kagome and Inuyasha's feelings. True, Inuyasha is in constant denial most of the time, but I think that it is the times when he isn't that appeal to Kagome. Beyond that, I have no idea why she likes him, but it seems right to me. She also seems to use the "sit" command less and less as time goes on; I was surprised when she did not use it while arguing with Inuyasha after the first encounter with Kouga. Neither one of them was willing to compromise in that argument, but then again, neither one really understood where the other was coming from. Oddly enough, it seems like Inuyasha is as wary of Kouga as Kagome is of Kikyo. Of course, that could just be because neither one knows how the other thinks; they're both teenagers, at least mentally, and when was the last time a teenager was able to understand how a member of the opposite gender thought?

First, I prefer the subs because, although the jokes don't translate quite as well, the voice actors for the dubs just aren't all that good.
Second, as a former teenage girl who still gets stupid crushes sometimes, though I can't necessarily explain the relationship, I can understand it. As for Houjou-kun, he could probably have a ton of girls... he just picked the one who travels through time. I had a theory that he's the reincarnation of Inu, but the second movie kind of changed that notion (it's still a possibility though).
I dunno. I like the Inu-Kagome thing... it just fits. They're both on the same level emotionally, for one (though Kagome has occasional moments of wisdom). My vote (as if Rumiko Takahashi listened to me...) would be that Kagome either decides to live in the feudal era and go home for occasional vacations/baths, or that Inu dies at the very end of the series and therefore Kagome returns home permanently--and then discovers that Houjou-kun really is Inu's reborn soul...

I'm sorry, but Kagome is just too bitchy and abusive to deserve Inuyasha. Sango, on the other hand, is perfect for him. She sticks with him, no matter whether she agress or disagrees with him (mostly because Inuyasha and the others have supposedly put so much on the line for her). There's also the fact Sango doesn't use the sit command to win a pitiful argument (especially when Inuyasha is in the right).
Finally, Miroku is just a sick, perverted bastard, so he clearly doesn't deserve Sango.

Heh. I'm just about caught up with the subs, so I know some fun stuff that happens with Miroku and Sango towards the end. Therefore... I dunno. Sango might be good for Inu, but I don't think he'd be good for her. Miroku isn't perfect, but... I dunno. Yes, he gropes her. But I get the feeling throughout the whole series that he'd never actually do anything to hurt her. And Kagome and Inu are good for each other because they're both emotionally unstable, but when they work together they feed off each others' strengths, not their weaknesses.
