I say watch it dubbed. At least then you can listen to Excel, as opposed to trying to read the subtitles as they go blazing across the screen to match Excel's hellbent speaking pace. Besides, the dub has numerous stand outs, like Brett Weaver as Nabeshin, and the two fellows who did Watanabe and Iwata who's names I can't remember offhand. Also, I happen to think Jessica Calvello did a good job on Excel, although the second voice actor didn't quite get into the swing of it I don't think. Oh, Jason Douglas as Ilpalazzo and Paul Sidello as Rikdo are hi-larious if I do say so myself.

Evil Urchin: I always liked the voice actor who dubbed That Man. You could tell he was being serious about it, but the lines were just so ludicrous that they had their own special charm that I thought was quite memorable.

Oh, to get back on topic. Yes, buy this series. But beware of episode 26, it's the most messed up, perverted thing to appear in a tv show since Ebichu the Housekeeping Hamster.

Well, actually episode 26 was never shown on TV. That episode was far too racy for even late night Japanese TV, and was instead just included on the dvd release. Personally, I thought it needed more Excel nude, but oh well.

So THAT's why the MPAA rated Excel Saga NC-17!

Huh, you learn something new every day. I agree with you on that last bit, although I'd replace the word Excel with the word Hyatt. I always thought she had an innate sort of sexiness that Excel just lacked. Now if only she didn't die all the time. . . :?

I dunno, something about Excel's lust for life and happy personality is naturally attractive. And there also is the fact that sex with Hyatt would probably fall into the necrophilia category at several points, which is never pleasant.
