Is anyone watching this series? The first six episodes were mediocre at best, but it picked up a little up to the third disc. But the fourth disc was amazing and the fifth disc has me thinking it could be the best series of all time if they can pull out the last 4 episodes.

And to think I almost didn't buy the 2nd and third discs. Did anyone give up on this series too early? If so, I gotta recommend you to give it another chance. I'm glad I did.

I've read a few reviews of this show, and for the most part, the consensus seems to be that it's just an average-at-best EVA ripoff. It's definitely not high on my "to get" list, and I'll have to read more positive things about it before I consider adding it. The next alien invaders/mecha show I'm probably going to go for is RahXephon, which has gotten good reviews all around.

I love Argento Soma it really is quite different to RahXephon and Eva. I haven't yet decided if I prefer Argento Soma over RahXephon yet since I haven't seen the end to Rah yet. But I did find the end to Argento Soma enjoyable... but then I'm a fan of those sort of endings. I'm not going to say anything more in case I spoil it for you.

It was a good show, but I liked Rahxephon slightly better. I agree, the first few episodes of Soma were crap. That's where Rahxephon beats it out, it starts interesting and stays interesting all the way to the end. The opening to Argento Soma is awesome, though. But then again, so's Rahxephon.

Wait a second, why am I comparing the two? Seeing one is no excuse to ignore the other.

The only thing good about Argento Soma is when that HewG alien stepped on (insert name of protagonist robot here cause it's been so long since i have seen it I forgot and I am too lazy to waste 40 seconds of my time looking it up but rather 60 seconds of my time typing this) like a friggin' bug.

I swear I laughed my arse off.

Ok, ok, that's not the only thing good about it. But that's all I remember. It's been a year or two so I know you can find somewhere in your heart to forgive me.... right?
