I've never actually finished FFVI, but I've played enough of it. Sephiroth is definitely the better villain. Kefka is just a jacked up clown.

Exdeath from Final Fantasy V is more evil than either Kefka or Sephiroth would ever hope to be. In fact, I believe Exdeath is the last *truly* evil main villain in a Final Fantasy game - though I haven't played Final Fantasy X, so I son't know if it contains a truly evil villain. (Judging by the trend, though, I'd venture to guess Final Fantasy X's villain isn't truly evil, either.)

This is true. Before they started giving them excuses and angstiness.

However, you might want to consider Ultimecia from FF8 as "truly evil". She didn't seem to have much to her other than wanting to destroy the universe, as I recall...

In that vein, Mroni, Evil the Cat from Earthworm Jim is *far* more evil than anyone else mentioned - not only does he attempt to destroy the universe time and time again, at one point he even <I>cracks the snowglobe</I> housing the universe.

Final fantasy 6 is also known as Final fantasy three in america.

but on with the subject at hand.

You all know that the Mist Dragon from FF4 is the most evil bastard in the FF universe
