Damn I was gonna say Escaflowne and Kare Kano, but looks like A) someone else did and B) you already saw them.

I love both of them...so much that I even made (too many) videos to one of them :-P.

Too bad the rest of the shows are fairly foreign to me :(.

How about Ujin's Sakura Diaries? It's pretty cool. Very dramatic *I cry easily too*

OK- great romance set within a deeper story- RahXephon. The romance between Ayato and Haruka is so well told and touching. There are a million reasons to watch this show, but one of them is to learn to very well told story between these 2 characters. Your heart will ache for Haruka- her unrequieted love will move you and her undying love will make you want to cry and yell at the tv- "God damn it! She loves you don't you see. She has always loved you! Just tell her already how much you love her damn it!"

Really- it is well told and not cheesy romantic comedy like many other romantic anime shows out there. No fanservice and no need for it.

Agreed completely. I got the series at AX2003 and finished it before 3 days was up. Though I was kinda iffy on the whole, "she's so much older than you" idea, but at the end, everything made so much sense and was so well set that I honestly cried. I don't think there could of been a better ending. :o I really do love the series. Thanks schrizo for the recommendation. ^0^

If someone can find a romantic anime that Nikki hasn't seen, they should win 10 million dollars. I mean come on. 4 pages and not a single anime she hasn't heard of yet. I'm envious. :)

There's also Rizelmine and To Heart. They're both really good. Still, my current favorite is Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.
