The whole thing can be placed sometime after or before GW, and would entail a large, complicated plot involving the meaning of war and why every government oppresses its people and concordantly fails to last for any really long period in time(although one may argue that the Romans lasted for about a thousand years, they were a republic for the first half and the second was really a series of gov'ts lead by the emperors).

The main character will at first fully believe in everything his gov't tells him until some fucked up shit happens. Then he loses his mind and goes out in a blaze of glory. My brother and I shall be side characters that try to make a change in the status quo but fail and lose faith.

I'm including several young and attractive youths in the gratuity. Fanservice for all!
What is it with the whole "going outin a blaze of glory thing?" It seems cool, but I used to be one of those hopelessly sappy people who hates bad endings...of course, now I realized that there's really no such thing as a 100% happy ending, but I never like it when the main character dies!
I didn't care for mecha anime for a long while, but I got curious about it recently and I started toying with the idea for a script...distant future, world under seige by "evil machines" and young pilots called to control Eva-type mechas. It was a very vague idea and I didn't spend too much time on it...I set it aside. Maybe I'll pick it up again one day.
In a mad world, only the mad are sane.

The whole point would kinda be that you should follow what you think is right rather than what the "man" tells you is right.

He may or may not actually die in the end...

I started my own manga. I have most of the story planned out. It's about these group of demon slayers who are trying to free the world from demons. See the world was taken over by demons and every demon slayer except 5 were killed. So 4 out of the five (One dosen't reveal himself to be a demon slayer until late in the series) team up with some other friends who aren't demon slayers to free the world from demons. Also just as a spoiler one of the demon slayers was possesed by the demons before he joins the group.

I'm going to make an anime where people power up for 5 episodes, have long blond spikey hair, and can blow up planets with their fingertips. I'm positive this will be an instant success because there's nothing more exciting than watching some guy turn super powerfull in only 5-9 episodes. The only thing that can even come close to that is the sheer excitement of watching paint dry. No wait it's been done, bummer, back to the drawing board.

Sorry to all db, dbz, dbgt fans if this has offended you in any way.

Acually I'd make one where some samurai get's warped to the future, loses all memory of who he is and is on a quest to find out who he is and where he came from. It's sorta original.
