theres a box set,,, wikid,, but still,,,,,, why bother? The bit torrents are great quality. and i'll be damnd if i watch that show with english voice overs. It would be better for amv (no subbs) making,, but,,,, if you into what im doin right now, it may be ok. im in the process of making my own naruto amv (i know,,,,i'll be one in a million naruto amv's)(but my lil bro says i have no choice but to submit all amvs to the .org), in which the subbs will reflect the lyrics in the song. The Hitokiri Battousai wrote:i know where you can get a japanese box set
so its not in english
but if the box set comes in dvd format,, you should be able to turn on and off the subbs,, no?,,, if so,, i would like to have that box set cause i havnt been this into a show since thundercats.

about that filler, kinda sux that the last 2/3's of dbz is basically filler (since the series originaly ended after frieza) but i still think it pumped out some nice episodes and at times (when it wasn't completely filler) they had some nice animation, but they weren't consistant at all in the animation, that's what makes it easy for people to take shots at itTseng808 wrote:i think ist the next DBZ in a good way
its DBZ without all the filler and bad animation sometimes mindless fighting plotholes etc!
but still DBZ was cool but nothing on naruto
i really can't remember any actual mindless fighting in dbz, it seems to me that everything was given a reason for, just so you know, i'm not saying that it's a great series, i agree that dbz has just the basics of a plot-line, one side fights for good (friends) and defeats the bad guy (solo greedy person or just plain evil incarnate (kid buu)), but i could follow along with the fighting and didn't find it to be random, if anything, it was too street-like
the main complaint i had with the fighting wasn't it's speed, it was that these people were suppose to be life-long fighters trained in martial arts, but they rarely use their martial arts training, they usually just fight headlong into a battle and get wupped street fight style. it's usually the final fighter who actually starts to fight strategically against the villan using martial arts moves/rhythm/concentration.

Love Naruto.
Watched up till 59..
would like to get the box set.. but not if it meant selling my first child into slavery in order to purchase it. Plus, It'll be about 3-7 Box sets depending how far the series goes and considering their only at their second Arc it could be a long series that could compete with Inu Yasha for length.
At 3-4 eps per disc, buying the series on DVD is a big ask.
Plus the re-watch value isn't that good. There is too many dramatic flash backs/repeats as it is anyways.
Plus there is some fillers.. I mean watching that little kid run around screaming after Naruto is funny for like 2 seconds but making him one of the main characters and having to much screen time....
I usually buy all the anime I like when it's released.. but I do have my limits.

so does anyone know how long the anime series is exactly?
how long is the manga for that matter? has the anime series already gone far beyond the manga (like kenshin)?
i know they don't exactly go by the same measuremeants, one manga chapter does NOT equal one anime episode. but what about volume wise, does 1 anime volume equal 1 manga volume?
i bought the first manga volume of naruto. it went as far as kakashi's survival training right after the kids, naruto, sasuke, and sakura, are appointed under kakashi's mastery, they finish the survival training chapter and that's where the first volume ends, is that the same for the anime first volume?
