Really? Although I never saw Pokemon, I heard that Meowth is gay, and loves pikachu. In Dragonball, I think nudity, breast jokes, and other sex related humor is edited.

But I could be wrong...

dragonball was indeed not intended for children, neither was dragonball z for that matter... i don't know what the hell dragonball gt was intended for... ..i'll leave it at that.
you've already given the reasons why db was not intended for kids, dbz has a very high level of violence, sure it's animated, but it doesn't make it less violent, i think only the animation and toriyama's style is what makes it seem toned down. sure the show is a lot about counting on ur loved ones to help pull you through and give you strength and becoming the ultimate protector of good... i forgot where i was going with this... oh yeah, dbz has a lot of bloody violence, not so much gore, just ewwwww type of stuff
(and before anyone says it, i don't mean the kind of ewww between a man and another man)

which brings me to pokemon

i think people saying meowth wants pikachu to play with his chu toy is just people trying to bash the show, meowth does hate pikachu in the beginning of the series, then they become friends (what kiddey anime ISN'T about friends) that's all... as far as i've seen anyway, i didn't catch the last 20 serieses they made.

Nope, it's already hacked to bits thanks to 4-Kids. It was once meant for 13-17 year olds.. now it's some little kids show about idiots with no lives playing cards.. so sad, really. It was a great show with a nice plot and character devolopment and some wicked cool fights.

play it safe and watch miyazaki. only movies to stay away from might be princess mononoke(see him shoot body limbs off) amd if the kids are TOO young, grave of the fireflies might traumatize them. never saw porco rosso, think its okay though.

hmm, would anyone object to record of lodoss war? i'm up to ep 9, i dont see anything indecent abt it....save deedlit shows a bit more leg than necessary.

Sorry man i havent heard of any of these animes....

... but u kno that they gonna edit it no matter wat if its not violent of wat not... those producer and editors get picky at time so we can only sit back and watch wat they throw at us ...

someday's dreamers is about some girl trying to uh...yeah, right? i read about it somewhere cuz i got a free postcard with a really nice pic from teh show on it so i looked it up. Somethin bout magic or something --;
