Special attacks

In the middle of the fight, with the punches flying fast and furious, the hero readies his special attack. He makes the gesture, the frame freezes for half a second, he yells "REBENJE NO ROBUSUTAA!!" - and then he kicks the villain's butt.

What's your favourite anime special attack? (Character, series, magic words, effect on the victim?)

okay , i have to admit gokus kamehameha wave can be pretty f*cking awesome. oh and a move form street fighter alpha 3 , Guy's bushin goraikyaku move where he grabs them and the room goes black while fashing outlines of him do all these kick ass moves!!!

The one that spike does when he fights Vincent. Wait, he doesn't, because shouting out special attacks is retarded and unrealistic.

But seriously, Spirit Bomb, because half the time it never even works and then you get the "OMGROFLWTF HE DIDN'T DIE!" speech.

I think the Ama Kakeru Ryuu no Hirameki is the best. I like how Kenshin announces it either after he beats you down with it or when it is inevitable that he will. It's the bomb. But flashiest move is definetly the Ryuutsuisen. Aerial goodness.

Special attacks don't necessarily mean bad writing. Look at Rurouni Kenshin.

Although I think my fave attack is from One Piece.
