I agree to that! But I find it intresting that anime can cause so much emotion while other shows don't. Ya know, like American shows. It's probably because anime is so much better at devolping characters. All I know is, I was certainly crying my eyes out at the end of Cowboy Bebop... :cry: Of coruse, I cried when Mufasa died in the Lion King, too. ^^;;;;
Haha ... yeah the ending of Cowboy Bebop make me teary eyed too ... ... i think these feelings are just natural to us humans ... as for anime making us people feel all these emotions , i think anime does a better job than the americanized cartoons because the story is just better and all ... well thats just my two cents on that ... :)

Actually I think it is because
the characters can convey emotions
better through the art style + plot.
It it wasn't for the sweatdrop the
people would just think that the character
is just listening to the other characters...

Did you notice that because we watch anime it somehow makes you smarter? To be able to understand something like anime...

Anyway back on subject, oh yeah, anime can make you feel a lot of amotions it just depends on how good the animator/artist can portray the emotions on the characters.

There's this one anime -the name slips my mind- thatt when the female lead character cries it makes me get teary-eyed because the girl looks so sad. *sniffle, sniffle*
Me: Blah, blah, blah. I'm... confoosed.
Inuyasha: Feh.
Kagome: Really, Inuyasha. Is your vocabulary that small?
Inu: WHAT DID YOU SAY?!

Dragon Ball Z

When Gohan went SSJ2 against Cell cause he was kicking the shit outta all his friends, reminds me of myself...

When I watched the show in japanese with no subtitles heh, I saw when vegita commited suicide against majin buu to save everyone. That made me cry and if i was going to die, thats the way id do it.

Trigun

When Wolfwood dies, and when vash kills legato. I was a waterfall after that...

Kikiader

I had emotion in that one too...

Cowboy Bebop

Total mix of omg he's a badass, till the sad ending, and also the depressing credits.

Outlaw Star

This anime just makes me happy

haha ... yeah i think that if u watch anime, it does make u think more than some americanized cartoons, i think thats another reason y i like anime so much ... i mean look at Neon Genesis Evangelion, dude, im still thinking about that series ... lol ... anime is great and mind stimulating ...

Yeah i have to agree with u also on the fact that anime is only as good as the creator can make it .. those people who create anime are every creative and must have a wild imagination

I think that any anime, when any anime character cries because of something that has emotionally happened, it sometimes brings tears to my eye ... ... that just shows how good the creators of these animes are .. ;)

Risking sounding like a totally pathetic fanboy I will say that whenever I watch anime I usually try to write myself into the story in my own twisted little imagination (I feel so dirty now) :|

Anyway as for feelings sometimes when I watch some of my absolute favorites and when something super dramatic or "warm and fuzzy" happens I usually get what I like to call "The tingle" which is this wierd chill i get in my head and down my spine (Its a good feeling by the way). As an example at the end of the Love Hina Spring movie when Shinobu asked Naru what she really felt for Keitaro, and when Naru finally admitted it, yep you guessed it, "the tingle" (I feel dirty again) :(

You can make fun of me now  , I must go & take a shower to erase the stench of shame
