How old were you when you saw your 1st anime?

WOW I dont Rember all I know is that my first anime i ever saw was sailor moon or DBZ one of those but I think I was 9 oh well it will come to me later

I must've been about 7 or 8 when I saw Totoro. My Sailor Moon obsession followed in 3rd-4th grade. It lives on to this day.

I think the first anime I ever saw was wings of Honneamise, and that was a loooong time ago.

That's the movie with the guy that becomes an astronaut, right?

I cant even remeber how old I was when I first saw anime all I know is when I first saw it I didnt know that it was called anime it was just another cartoon for me but was made it different is that it had such gripping storylines and the humor and action in them got me hooked on anime without me even knowing it. I was in elementary school and every morning I would watch sailor moon, DBZ (Was cool back then o_o), and a show called Samurai Pizza Cats before school. Even though it was so long ago I still remeber some of the moments in the show, I just cant remember any of the characters names

. I also had an asian friend who had moved from japan and he brought with him his VHSs. He wanted to show them to me

. It was DBZ and it was in japanese with korean subtitles so i did not know a... single... thing what they were doing or talking about but he insisted i stay and he would explain

It was the final episode of DBZ... and I was very young (Not even double digits), and today I am 18, and the final episode of DBZ came out in the US how long ago? Damn we are years behind japan arent we?

If i had to say i would say i first saw anime when i was approx. 5 years old and have been watching it since. So i grew up with it and as pathetic as it sounds i almost fear that i might die with it 8) .

i first anime i knew was anime was DBZ when i first aired on Toonami. That got me hooked to my obsession of it that I have now. So yes, i sadly grew up on Toonami but if Toonami ddint air some anime titles, i might not be here (and some are thinking thats a bad thing

) or wouldn't like anime (which WOULD be a bad thing)

First anime....DBZ! I was obsessed with it! I watched all the episodes over and over again!
Ask me now and I won't e't even be able to tell you who the main characters were!

*Goku I think...er was it?

I also used to watch...gasp dare I say it?...Pokemon *shudders at the thought*

I think around six or seven -- Battle of the Planets, when it first aired in syndication (on that new-fangled cable TV, bringing the channel count to a whopping FIFTEEN!). I even remember having a BotP lunch box in second grade!!

But I didn't know it was originally Japanese. Star Blazers soon took over afterwards -- that was my first true awareness of anime. (Incredibly, I even forgot the NAME Battle of the Planets, until a few years ago!!)
