ANY Console RPG. You see, the theory is this: The game cuts you off from human society completely. After all, it's just you and the console, absorbing the digital facade or existence while you Discover how to level up your character. How can you interact with society if you have no social skills? You wanna see the sorriest group of people? Don't look at bums, look at the people who LARP. Yuk. Where's the ability to interact with society, if they run around screaming "I'm an elf! I'm an elf!" What mentally stable and socially acceptable woman will accept THAT?
A large portion of my RPG angst comes from the fact that a friend of mine totally defined his existence through RPGs He could tell you how to max out your attacks in Symphony of the Night, or how to glitch Final Fantasy 10 so that each attack deals 99,999 damage, but put him in a real life situation, like a job interview, a business meeting, or even coordinating his lifestyle so that he could do LAUNDRY without his parent's help, and watch him buckle. He remarkably enough had a girlfriend at the time, though she was fat, poor, and had NO self esteem, and she told him, "Hey, (insert name here), let's have sex! and he said, "Hang on, let me finish levelling my character up."
Disgraceful.
Look at my sig! Look at it!
