The first season/three volumes are quite similar, but the second season/last three volumes are almost completely different. There's a few key points that are the same, but otherwise about the only thing in common are the characters, and not even all of them. Several characters from the anime don't even appear in the manga. And there's a few revalations in the manga that didn't show up in the anime.DTJB wrote:I intend to get the manga version of MKR when I finish the anime version. I hope the differences in Umi and Nova aren't that big.
Both versions are excellent, but they're very, very dissimilar.

Well, Tokyopop's tag line is: "Handsome Bachelor. Wealthy Doctor. Just found an angel stuck in his tree. What do you wish for when you have everything?" The basic premise is Shuichiro, who has everything that he needs in life, rescues an angel. The angel offers him a wish, but he turns it down because he can't think of anything to wish for. The angel decides to stay with him until he decides what he wants to wish for, and the story goes from there.ryuu_hime13 wrote:I've heard a bit about it, but I'm not entire sure what it's about. Is it good?
I think it's excellent, and the art is different from most other CLAMP work, since it's drawn by Mick Nekoi instead of Mokona Apapa.

I really enjoyed Wish Ryuu, you'd probably enjoy it. What they forgot to mention above, was basically that Kohaku (the angel) is very naive and thus runs into quite a few problems while she's on Earth. She also needs to deal with Koryu, this devil, (and a very nice looking bishie) while she's there. Though I've heard that Kohaku was supposed to be male, but honestly whenever I read it, I picture her as a female. Meh. I have the music video rm for Wish, it's the only thing animated for it, *it was shown during the Cardcaptor Sakura movie previews over in Japan* and it's sooo cool. I love it.
