Is Samurai Deeper Ryo any good?

Okay so I'm thinking about buying Samurai Deeper Ryo off of Ebay. The thing is I'm not sure if I should spend my money since I haven't heard much about the show. I love Rurouni Kenshin so I figure I'd like this. So, to the point is Samurai Deeper Ryo good and worth watching? If not, could someone please recommend another show that is short (like 25 episodes or so) that is really good...?

well i've been renting the movies off of netflix. i kind of like it. it's more like a darker verision of Kenshin i guess. it took me awhile to get into. but now i have to see it to the end. hope this helps a little

Samurai Deeper Kyo was one of the worst series I watched last year.

Just in cass you did not konw what it is like.

During Tokugawa Ieyasu’s epic battle of Sekigahara, two samurai face off outside of history. In the heat of the duel between Kyoshiro and Demon Eyes Kyo, a shooting star slams into the plains, shattering the ground and engulfing both of them.

I thought is was cool and it is worth taking a look at.

Hmm, I have upto episodes 15 lying around here somewhere. Got them from a friend and haven't watched much of it yet. I liked it.

I have the first DVD. Not sure if I want the rest. It is NOT a darker version of Kenshin, it's more like a darker version of Voltron...

FORM BLAZING MASAMUNE!

One hit kills are tedious...but I might slowly get the rest of the series, anyway.
