In all fairness to Toriyama, his original intent was to have Gohan take over as the hero with the Super Saiya-jin 2 stage; he surpassed everyone else, including his full-Saiya-jin father. The "bargain bin" of SSJ (sorry, funny dub line actually working out...) came later with the kids :P

But wouldn't it been better when during the Namek Saga Vegeta would've turned into SSJ and killed Freezer and after that taken his revenge to Goku!!!! The End

Nah, that wouldn't have had the amazing Ultimate Goku vs Evil Lord Freezer dynamic

But I'm sure a lot of people would have liked it more if it had ended with Goku dying on Namek like it was intended.

If there would've been left an open ending. Like, no one knows if Goku died or not. everyone could make their own opinions about it.

Well it was his fault, too busy killing to remember to take his vitamins and drink milk everyday!!!

Hmmm....he could've just dyed his hair and growled alot more. That would've scared Freiza off.

The original English voice for Freeza was Pauline Newstone (Ocean Group), while the second voice was Linda Chambers Young (FUNimation cast).

While I have absolutely nothing against either individual woman (in fact, Pauline did some great voices in other shows), I've always greatly disliked the director's choice for how Freeza would sound. While I can somewhat understand why they'd go in that direction... I simply do not agree with it. The fine "choice lines" they'd have Freeza say throughout the course of the dub certainly didn't help. :roll:

The original (Japanese) seiyuu for Freezer/Furiiza was and still is easily one of my all time favorite voices. Both English voices where extremely inappropriate. They weren't weakly acted voice wise, but the voices where just so inappropriate, as well as the dialouge, that the character of RFreeza was ruined beyond recognition.
