Yay! More useless utterings from the land of Stupid!
There are two kinds of people in this world:
Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.

It's so nice how you two get along so well.

Princess Mononoke was the first anime movie I had ever seen. I really liked it and I still do. It's one of my favourite movies and it's my favourite anime movie. Ashitaka was one of the main reasons why I had to see it at least twice a week... ^^;; Anyways, it was well done and the animation was stunning as usual (what do you expect from Hayao Miyazaki?).

Jigo? Yeah, I guess he was the antagonist in some ways.. But as you said there were no main "bad guys" in the film. It was actually Human vs Nature wasn't it?

I would urge people to see it in Japanese with subtitles, though.

The man
The myth
The guy with the Nutter Butters.

Princess Monoke is enviromental crap spewed forth from the hippy bowels of hell. I do not recomend it there is just no way to wack. Since Ghibli is known in the loliphile community as a non wack studio I can't recomend much of it's work. My neighbor toturo and Whispers of the heart have some scenes which could be considered wackable.

Mr Oni
You are that guy who whacks off to Lum correct? I remember you.

In any case, Mononke is definitely heavily environmental in its message, and yes it is a very liberal one at that, however despite being heavily conservative myself, I recognize htis anime for its story, not as osme stupid political propaganda. If I were so easily offended by opposing political views, Id probably never leave my house. Of course, Im not, thus I dont. Mononoke can be seen on various levels. It can be an action flick at its most superficial, or perhaps a "thriller killer", or delving deeper you can certainly be drawn to its environmental message, or insteadl ike me, you can focus on the quality of the storytelling, the mysticism, the awe and wonder and reflection of Ja[panese culture that it shows. Or you can just denounce it as crap. Makes no difference to my enjoyment of it. Its a pity you dont like it, but its hardly my loss.
Anime owns you

Miyazaki, who made Princess Mononoke, also made Spirited Away, but Grave of the Fireflies came from the same studio and was made by someone else.
