I understand that. That's why I don't care about dling anime. But even if they don't show the entire content of the show, does that really take away everything? You'll eventually see it unedited. Like you said, take whatever you can get and be happy with it.Cloud Clone wrote:CN is pretty much my only real anime hook-up while I'm in school, so I'll take whatever I can get...Kracus wrote:who cares. For me, if I like what I see of it, I'll just buy it then and see it unedited. What difference does it make what CN does to it? and gunplay shouldn't be what the series is completely about anyway.Kalium wrote:Isn't Cartoon Network infamous for censoring for supernatural conten, , gunplay, etc?
Am I the only one who thinks Witch Hunter Robin will be even more confusing with those scenes gone?
What supernatural content do you think they'll cut? Give me an example from another series they they cut supernatural content from.

They used to have Tenchi on Toonami, but they never had Love Hina or Ranma 1/2. A lot of people want them to show Love Hina on Adult Swim, but I doubt it would ever get on there because the anime they do show on AS tend to be more "action packed." They have already said they would NEVER show Ranma 1/2 because it would require too much editing. I was kind of sad when I heard that because I'd like to see that show (I guess I'll have to get it somewhere else).I heard they used to have Love Hina, Tenchi Muyo and even Ranma 1/2 on Toonami/AS at one time (not simultaneously). If AS was 3 hours of anime solid, they could (in theory) construct the following schedule (All times eastern USA):
They show Kenshin on Cartoon Network but not in the AS block. Apparently they were pissed off because it was attracting a lot older audience than they intended. They were aiming it at kids and young teens, and it was attracting older teens and adults to watch it, so even though they had high ratings, the advertising wasn't targeted correctly.
The AS team have said that they would consider airing Kenshin on their block some time in the future, but it would be re-edited to fit the older audience.
They're not going to drop Futurama or Family guy or anything else in the comedy block for anything but another non-anime show. The action block is where the anime goes. That's why they're not likely to ever show toucy feely shoujo animes but would stick to things with a certain amount of combat in them.
On the other hand, they also have to make the shows appropriate for an older teenage audience. I think they have the rating set at 14, or something like that.
I picked up a lot of this info at the Adult Swim message boards.

I get up at the same time, but I'm an insomniac so unless I'm exhausted from school I can't go to sleep before 12. I probably should, though. Staying up late has wreaked havoc on my immune system...or whatever bit of it I had left.

On weekends I usually can't sleep past 7:30. But that's cause of my dog and cat. The cat doesn't bother me much but eventually she starts pawing near my head and purring loud. Then my dog, once he's up, he whines constantly until I get up and take him out and since he is on the 5:30 schedule; it's always early when I take him out on weekends. Then I can't go back to sleep.

Waaaaah!! I do want to watch Witch Hunter Robin but what about Love Hina?? I never knew Cartoon Network has showing rights for it, I did buy the anime of Love Hina in fansubs but I would love for every one else to see how good Love Hina is!! Besides, I'm only on episode 10 of Love Hina, it would be nice to watch the rest in English!?
