I have an Evanglelion DVD with English, Japanese, French and Spanish.

Lots of fun to be had.

Strangly, only the Frencf and, of course, Japanese versions have the original preview music.

Audio : Japanese
Subs: : English.

i prefer it that way.

the only anime that i ever watched in english was dbz. the voices in dbz were horrible and the animators must have been drunk at the time of choosing the voices actors for that series.

the english voices were done very good. but every other anime in enlgihs is just plane crap, no effort what so ever from the voice actors.

DragonBall Z is one of the WORST dubs ever created, non-original music, non-emotional VA's and lot's more besides. Don't let that one dub put you off all of them.

Doesn't that contradict what you just said?

Is it true that you British get a different dub of DBZ?

I think shinzui was talking about the Japanese voices. Well, maybe. I don't know. :(

we have had both the canadian and american versions of the DBZ dub.

On the other hand we had the Blue Water dub for DBGT, which was amazingly accurate (compared to DBZ, it still it didnt have swearing though-it DID have original music) but also sounded like it had two VAs and no emotion whatsoever.

Mr Oni
yeah, i agree (...strangely, but you do bring up the truth)
dubbing is done so that people that don't speak the language of the original audio can enjoy whatever's being dubbed without having to read subs

i usually wouldn't watch an anime or anything else in a language i don't understand, unless it's in the original language
so of course i'll watch in japanese because that's the original track with potentialy the best VAs
i watch english and spanish dubs for the same reason... i know the languages :D
so sorry if it seemed like i watch stuff in other languages for the heck of it, i don't, just in languages that i know (that way i know if it's a decent dub or not) and original languages
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D
