hello all, i'm pretty new to these forums but i've been keeping up with amv for the last two years probably, i just decided to read up on some of the forums, and add my 2 cents

i just finished watching getbackers, most likely there's already a thread on this somewhere but whatever. I liked the characters and i like the story line for like the first 25 episodes but i think after that it kinda died. The ending was kinda weak i thought. Although i did like the change of pace with the more humorous/less serious story line after episode 25 sometimes the stories were just kinda random ya know

what did some of you think about the series? good? bad? could have been better?

also i just made a very nice background (1400x1050) with shido =]

I was never very keen on Getbackers. Just never really stood out as being anything truely awesome.
As for series that go beyond the 26 episode mark, I have no idea why.
I mean sure they may have the budget for it, but unless the writers actually have something solid to work on, they're better off spending it on something else.

I liked GetBackers quite a lot, Mido Ban was may favourite character because of his mix of badass-ness and comedy.

Although Raitei was pretty cool.

GetBackers was okay. Past the first Mugenjo saga was boring. Though the hospital ep was funny. I was kinda disappointed that the Emporer of Lightning didn't appear during the second Mugenjo saga. I was kinda hoping he and Kaoru would make up or something. By far, fav character was Ginji. I felt Mido was pretty much a pussy, I think even they realized this since the rest of the series turns back to ginji and away from any of Mido's past.

Ginji's cool, my fav char. I liked the series but i'm only half way through.

hhaha yea the hospital episode was great, akabane bringing ginji fruit at the end and kuzuki as one of the nurses lol

i swear kazuki is a girl

I have to agree that Getbackers wasn't done too well but I nevertheless enjoyed it a lot. The Mugenjo drama and all of it's subplots had a lot of potential to go somewhere but unfortunately it blatantly didn't. My favorite character was by far Akabane; his style and mannerisms really drew me in and so I watched the rest of the series. The last fight between him and Midou was a letdown though, especially given the preceeding one in episodes 32 and 33.

That one guy in the fourth and fifth episode has one of the lamest/funniest titles I've ever heard. Seriously, how can a person proudly be known as "The Man Without Any Breaks"

When the truck drove by ginji and he said "wow it's like he doesn't have any breaks" it just made me laugh more.
