I know, but if you're not willing to pay for the current prices, what difference will it make? And yes, I do believe that dl-ing for free is wrong, but so is stealing bread for your hungry family when you have no money. What a moral dilemma. I just try to borrow everything from friends if I can so I'm doing as little damage as possible to the industry. Then again, I've never dl-ed anime online and never bought anything pirated, so I'm not affecting the industry anyways. But that just may be because I've never had the opportunity, as I've said before. Maybe I'm just a bad person on the inside...

If it bout bootlegs, hey they are cheaper. Less money to bang out then. Most of my anime is bootlegged (though i planning on get RahXephron not bootlegged for some odd reason).

As for downloading anime from internet, i don't care. My computer isn't that big enough to download anime from net and I don't want to waste the time or the enrgy of finding them and downlaoding them for 3 days. If I did that, my sister would be enraged cause im using the ocmputer for 3 days and then you'll never hear from me again cause she would drive a steak knive through my heart (im not lying....she's already tired to kill me before.)

It's about the US price for a box of RK dvds being high. It shifted to include bootlegs because the argument was:

"Why should I pay $80 for 24 eps when I can download them for free?"

And since downloads mean you skirt having to pay the creators/dubbers/producers/importers - it's as unfair to the people who should be profiting as buying bootlegs is.

But it all comes down to how much you want it, and whether you want good quality or fansubs - how much you want it, how much you are willing to pay. For an anime I cannot find anywhere else, price may not be an issue so they can inflate it as much as they want and I won't care a bit. I don't like fansubs, and I don't collect anime on my computer. I collect to own - so quality matters - in which case, cost may not matter. That's just me. I work. I don't mind working more for luxury items like anime.

I don't expect freebies. And I don't stop driving my car or start feeding it watered down gas because I'm too lazy and cheap to buy the inflated prices at the local gas station. I accept that prices for certain things inflate according to how high they can raise it and the good old idea of 'supply and demand.' That's life.

Or the anime released in the US which was never put out on dvd - I've wanted to watch Boku wa Greenwood (Here is Greenwood) in Japanese for years and years - but it's unavailable anywhere except as dubbed vhs. Sucks to be an American sometimes. >.<

He's paying for the real stuff, which I encourage, though I'm ashamed to say I don't think I could do the same. At least he isn't whining about it like a baby or something. True i could try to type better but you see take stime and effort witch in my case i do not have mush so with the lil i have i try to strech it assmush as i can to get what ever.....

I do love good quality anime and creators should get what they deserve for their effortof crating wryting and stuff...... how ever why exagerat with the prises c on!!!!!!

on top here in north america we do not have chanels like in japan that 24/7 play new frech anime. cose if that wer the case i would not go to bed and wont use my computer for nothing(exept school work) and do anny harm to anny one but nooooooooo damn *** ***** it would make it a lot more simple to have a anime chanel but only for japanice anime and not somme bad american cartoons.

I dl anime sometimes, but not whole series, and not in mass. If anything i dl one episode of a series and if i like it, i buy it. Another method ive found to work is get my freinds (about 13 that watch anime aswell) and our local anime club (37 members) and we all go down to blockbuster and request that they get a certain anime in. When they have like 40 people ask for the same movie in one day, they usually try to get it in asap. Then one of us rents it and well all watch it. lol. But none-the-less, if i like an anime, i will likely buy it.
