the sad thing I wonder is if another movie came out that was also shot like an anime if it would be called a rip off of KB  I wonder if half the people that movie "amazed" have ever seen an anime before.

I'm going to see Kill Bill for the first time tonight after prom, so I'll give my thoughts then.

I mourn for the days when people could just sit back and enjoy some senseles violence.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

I'd mourn for days when they can't

Come on. It's like masturbation for your eyes :)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Mr Oni
If you are calling Kill Bill cheesy, then are you calling anime cheesy? What you saw in Kill Bill is no different than in any other violent anime.

Yes, but not all anime is violent.
So are you saying that you don't enjoy watching anime with lots of violence, blood, and dismembered body parts?

oh for goodness sakes!! the only anime reference in KB is the Oren Ishii childhood sequence....and that it. KB is more influenced by old Bruce Lee and similar martial arts movies, gangster epics and westerns.

it only seems to be shot like anime because of all the outrageous elements like the "gushing fountains of blood"........Tarantino stated that "you dont expect to see fountains of blood like that in standard films".

dont judge on false pretences just cos' you want to jump on the bandwagon. i thinks the movie is in a league of his own, if compared to hos others, it wont match up.....but judge it on its own merits and it scores bigtime.

I think that what I really liked about the movie, apart from the funny stuff, would be that it was different. It was like a relief from the normal movies (and I'm not saying I don't like normal movies). And who doesn't like comedy. :)

thats your POV dude, and its understandable, as form an anime fans' view there are too many similarities to the anything goes world of anime. but trust me, there is more to it than just anime.

though, i would like to see those KB anime prequels.....Animatrix style. Tarantino has tasted the forbidden fruit and he loves it!!! :D
