New Dragonball series?

I probably wouldn't hate DBZ so much if the english dubs weren't so friggin' awful (cheesy scripts for the most part and the voice actors are more than capable of doing a better job), also the fact that none of the characters in the show really seem to realize what an idiot Goku is, except for Vegeta (from what I've observed anyway). It's quite sad when a dumbass is viewed as a hero.

(DBZ fans are probably in the process of plotting my slow,painful,and gruesome death right now)

They should have stopped after DBZ was over. GT isn't as good.

nah, i agree wit you, but a lot of the characters are just as ditsy as goku, so it's not surprising that only a few of them realize what an idiot goku is... usually it's the 'bad' guys that notice it

yeah, well in a way they did... toriyama has nothing to do with GT, he still has his dignity... but whoever created DBGT destroyed what little dignity DBZ had.. at least it was decent in it's original japanese... but then they went and made a show that was bad no matter what language you watch it in... it's like the characters are even drawn as bad actors... very odd..

but i do apologize, i haven't seen ALL of GT, and i will if i ever get the chance... free chance... i don't feel like paying for something that i'm not thrilled about seeing, maybe i'll be able to defend GT a little bit after fully watching it, VegettoEX seems to have little problem with GT, though i think he prefers DB.. don't remember

The original series DragonBall is among the best ever made. DBZ compared tew it was nothing. I realized that after seeing the Buu saga. Peh, I liked DBZ cause there were many new cool characters and a little better fights. But the storyline

What do you think would have happened if Goku killed Vegeta when he had a chance? or better yet the other way around. What if Vegeta killed Goku? I know this is off topic, but I am getting lost, and I want to try and say something I can talk about.

btw, you'd have to specify at what point in the series you're talking about, i'm sure Goku or Vegeta had plenty of chances to kill each other while on the jon

Goku and Vegeta would eventually come back to life...
And that is exactly why the show should stay buried.

Hmmmm... DBZ, where to begin! It was good, but I have to agree with what some of you are saying, for instence, you can miss a whole two weeks worth of episodes and you go to watch it and it feels like you haven't missed anything. One fight scene seems to last forever and a half which would be ok if they didn't spend half of eternity just staring at each other, or going on about how they are going to mess the other one up; ENOUGH TALK, JUST JOUST AND GET IT OVER WITH! hehe! If there wasn't so much time spent in wasting time it would have been a lot better.

Oh, and Goku could get way cheesy at times.. I always found myself laughing at some of his prebattle speeches!

Ending on a positive note, I think one of my favorite episodes was when Vegeta finally admitted that Goku was better than he was saying to himself, "You are better than me Kakorate (sp?), you are the best."

Dragonball was a good series... I gotta admit I didnt like dbz much...

It's like the kenshin Ova's compared to the original series.

Bloodier... Better looking... But just not as good (IMO).
