Eh, it's complicated. But it runs like a myth, wolves who can 'disguise' themselves as men searching for the ultimate 'paradise' reserved for them. And the humans who want that paradise for themselves, and see the 'wolves' as either non-existent legendary creatures, or as the enemy.

The story itself is partly a bonding relationship drama, partly a treck/journey story, and partly a romance (strangely platonic), with a backdrop of a couple deranged psychos, miserable people as the world is falling apart, and war against the 'noble' humans who rule the rest of the peasants.

It's actually quite twisting and strange, violent at times, but very lovely animation, endearing characters, and a driving pace (except the 'flashback' episodes). Very good anime - I'm betting the girls love it when it hits tv. ;p

Sounds...weird. But then, anime summaries are always rather strange. I'm gonna have to see it to judge it.

The plot is fantasy to the max. But you'll love the characters - they're the reason I like it so much. ^.~

Cool! I don't mind character-focused shows. I know a few people who hate them, though. And fantasy is the best....

I keep hearing it's good so I want to see it. When's it coming on anyway?

An excellent question! Wolfwood asked me today and I had no answer for him. Anyone know?
