Doesn't GAiNAX have a way of turning light-hearted comedies dark in the later parts of a series? (E.g. Evangelion, FLCL)

It depends. Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Green Green are both hilarious, but if you're only looking for stuff that's been commercially released, I'd recommend Photon or The Ping-Pong Club.

There's this new series coming in June called "Miami Guns" or something like that. I hear it's supposed to be pretty funny.

Look at Saiyuki if possible. The english dubs have some funny scences. I don't think you'll be disapointed (if you choose to watch it, that is)

but ne way.... knowing me ill probly buy most of them because ive picked up this bad habbit since joining this forum, which is spending at least a few 100 quid a week online, e.g. this week ive bought Gasaraki Box set, all three Samuria X movies, and Generator Gawl box set, i duno.... i guess ill just have to sell my body to pay for them all.....
