Actually i was gonna let the thread die off instead of pointing out the fact that obviously your comment about all of them having a strong will to be wrong giving the golden example of Sojrio and the fact kenshin didnt have the "will to live" until later in the series when he became aware of how important is was...

However your argument is still focusing in on the fact that strength is partially mental ability when everyone was referring to it as a physical characteristic. In this aspect the point that many were trying to get across is that Kenshin is far from being the *strongest*.

In summary, your argument wasnt worth picking apart and keeping the thread alive until you posted and brought it back up to the top

kenshin is physically weaker than a lot of the other swordsman. I thought I said that multiple times already. And of course, I was talking about Kenshin AFTER he learned his Ougi, considering that I used examples primarily from the Shishio fights.

I don't know how the manga sheds any more light on why Soujirou was defeated. I have those particular volumes and have read that specific fight a number of times.

The anime covers it fine in that Soujirou was broken down mentally. He even says in the show a number of times that he feels distracted (mainly b/c Kenshin protects the weak, opposite to Shishio's philosophy...later ties in to him not being protected blah blah blah).

As for the "argument," I'm with Shun in that I just wanted it to die since the argument was getting a bit off-topic and wasn't worth it. I still don't see anyone who has clearly rebutted my points made on the...first page?

I just keep remembering every battle Kenshin fights in the series and in the movie. Are any of those batle posible or ae they really super extragerations of what can happen?
