The manga versions were both better than their anime counterparts, but with all the filler the Chobits anime had, I'd much prefer watching the Love Hina anime over it. If you're watching for entertainment, that is.
If you just want potential video footage for romance videos, you could go with either one since they are both romantic comedies. So they both have their share of romantic moments, but I think LH has more fast-paced action sequences or just plain weird scenes.

Hmmm ... its been a while since ive talked about love hina. Let me refresh my memory ... It is still one of my favorite anime series of all time. I found it very amusing, funny, and romantic. There were many episodes that really got me to think about wats going on and stuff and there was also an episode or two that i just wanted to skip through. But as for over all, i would highly recommend the series, it has great potential for an amv, although pretty much everything has already been done for it. But to have this anime series in ur collection is a must. Im sure u will enjoy this series a lot.
As for Chobits, ive never seen it. Im planning to see it in the future, but as for now, its only a plan.

i felt that teh ending of chobits was sort of sad because at teh end it seemed that it just went back to teh begining of the series, also another down side to the anime is that there are alot of "filler" episodes that just re-cap on whats happend so far.
after saying all that i still enjoyed it very much, there is alot of cutesy humour and a bit of perverted humour.

Love Hina is one of the greatest comedy anime series ever created. It's also a thrilling love story with lots of other stories, it's the kind of anime that connects with you.It was the first I ever fully watched and I highly recommend it. Also the 2 specials and sequels Love Hina Again only finish the beautiful yet hilarious love story between the main characters Keitaro and Naru

I haven't seen Love Hina yet, but I've seen some of Chobits and have read 4 volumes of the manga so far. I have to agree in saying that the manga is much better than the anime series...while I DO like watching the anime, it just moves too slow for me, it's not as interesting. ^_^ but the music is pretty neat, and sometimes Hideki's antics are pretty funny (underpants...hehe).

I only read a little about Chobits so here's just about the Love Hina portion.
My advice: Read the manga. I first watched the anime and of course loved it. It has multiple genres (Not major but they are there) and of course it's funny. When I went over and bought the mangas, I realized that the anime isn't exactly as good as the manga. The manga is awesome but either way you can't go wrong. Yeah it's similar to Tenchi, but in many ways it's not. I say go for the manga, if not, the anime. Just watch out of the ending..it's unsatisfactory compared to the manga.
