I gess some of the naruto carictures are a bit complex.
But so is tokugiru from shaman king. (dude I don't whant to go into what his problem is.)

I agree with Thistledown. the female characters Reki and Chise of Haibane Renmei and Saikano are very very complex.

Does any one besides me think that Sensui for YYH is pretty complex. He is one sick bastard who had some weird shit happen to him.

If you're going to name a character from Evangelion, Shinji and Asuka are probably among the worst choices, right behind the bridge bunnies. They're too one-dimensional. Misato, Ritsuko, and Gendo are okay choices, I guess, because of their hidden motives, but they're pretty easy to define in a few sentences and they don't really change much. Rei, on the other hand, doesn't even know all of what's going on in her own head, and many who watch Eva forget just how deeply affected she is by the events of the story arc.
