At least that's better than having my two best friends plan my will and testament to decide who gets what :P
Thats really sad it sounds like your friends are planning your death as you speak

Oh~! If you die in while in university, can I have your Sailormoon boxsets pleeze? ^___^
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Well, I'm still saving up for my own boxes in case you die before you get there or something <_< >_>

As for the subject of the thread, since I still haven't put in my two cents...

mm... naw. It wouldn't be a decisive factor. On one hand, I wouldn't get along with someone who hated anime, although I don't get along with haters too much in particular. On the other hand, I'm not THAT much of an anime fan (probably a casual watcher at best these days, albeit a sympathetic one). And then, I'm just a social leper and subcultural weirdo. There's a definite shortage of people capable of tolerating the 'inner me' on a regular basis, let alone being a 'match' for me or something. Although I think I'd make great friends with a lot of anime fans, since the 'outer' or 'social me' is good at getting along with people who like something I enjoy.

The difference between the 'inner' and the 'social' is that of having value systems involved. On an everyday social level, it's easy to bypass or overlook value systems and enjoy something in common. On a close relationship level, trying to do so would result in a huge problem.
Anime and my liking of it is a part of my value system, but a very, very tiny one. So, it would be a tiny factor, but not a huge one.

Or you could just solve everything like Ryoki....

Use the following formula to solve a problem.

1. x = girlfriend
a = slave

2. And x = me + (Liking)
(love)
And a = me + (servility)
(submission)

Then It is inferred that x is preferable to a.

3. Consequently
If x < a
And the common factor is (me)

Then
(Me) doesn't not equal (Liking)(love)

Therefore

(She doesn't want to go out with me)

**Ok maybe don't do that, but I needed something to shamelessly plug one of Ryoki's best moments of Volume 4.

^ that Dogger is a fangurl lol....

Ok I'll stop now >.>

Yeah, but that's implying a value system of slavery whereby both parties accept their roles with dutiful reserve.

But this Ryoki character is an admirably calculating dood.

I'm sure I'd be a happier person were I to have his philosophy/value system/dominative tendencies.

Sadly (wait no, happily! ^_^), I'm just an over-pretentious hippie.
