My 2 cents...

EoE ends with two people on Earth a.k.a. Adam and Eve.
Adam = Shinji
Eve = "Asuka"
BUT look closely at the one I will refer to as Eve.

Face = Asuka
Red Hair = Asuka
Brown Eyes = Misato
Clothing ≈Misato
Bandage = Rei
etc...

In NGE the charaters Asuka, Misato, and Rei are the three most important females (and maybe people) to Shinji. He has 'special' lovelike relationships with all three. THEREFORE Shinji's Eve is a composite of Asuka, Misato and Rei!

This idea is really rather silly.

Asuka's Eye is BLUE, not brown. Check out this picture Asuka's Blue Eye. It's nighttime, things look different, but she still has blue eyes.

Asuka is wearing her plug suit! Not Misato's clothes.

Asuka's bandages match the places where she was injured, NOT Rei's. Rei has bandanges in different places to Asuka.

It is only Asuka at the end, not some "combination" of Asuka, Misato and Rei. That idea annoys me no end, but it has no grounding at all, but becuase of the (totally flawed) EOE commentary it's spread around everywhere.[/url]

I agree. The Adam/Eve and Asuka = everybody suggestions are, no offence, kind of stupid. If people want to beleive them, that's a-okay, but they're just crazy to me.

...I wonder what the hell they're supposed to do after that point, anyway...I wonder if Shinji has godlike powers now and will now recreate the world, or something. Then again, if no one tells you you have those powers, then you wouldn't think to use them. Maybe Shinji and the audience are now in the same position - they don't know what Shinji is now capable of, so nothing can really happen. So the movie ends. ...Or not. God, that's confusing. ...ANYWAY.

I always thought of Asuka as Lilith, since Lilith was a bitch, and Rei as Eve, since Eve was nice. So, yes, I agree that Shinji is the new "Adam", but I think that Asuka is the new "Eve". Shinji sees Rei for a moment at the end of the movie. I think he was seeing his "Other Option", should he ever want it instead.

And I think that what ein-stein was trying to say about Asuka's clothing was that it has the same color scheme as Misato's clothing. Asuka always looked naked to me at that last scene, like the plug suit had fused to her skin. And as for Asuka's bandages, they seem to be a mirror image of Rei's.

Well, it is just a thought. Would make a some sense I think. Who knows, it is Eva after all...

As for who shot Kaji..........This is who I think did it.

Remember the episode where Asuka went into the volcano? These shots are from that episode. These shots are from the scene where Kaji and some lady ride in some sort of cab.



The lady holding the puppy...That's who I think kills Kaji. We also see her in another episode, where she is feeding kittens.
