So I picked up the first two volumes of this. Needless to say, I like. The story reminds of Fruits Baskets for some reason, but I found it entertaining in its simplicity.

So anyways, the store: On his birthday the main hero Daisuke, gives his love (Rena) a letter confessing his feelings for her...only to be shot down. Unhappily he sulks home, and to his surprise, when he thinks of his love he turns into a different person!

His mother lets him in on the family curse. There's a seperate personality that takes possession of the male heir (when they turn 14). The person's name is Dark, and he takes control of Daisuke's body whenever Daisuke thinks of his love. Similarly, Daisuke can revert the effect by thinking of Dark's love, Riku. Interestingly enough, Rena and Riku happen to be twin sisters....need I say more?

Other fun stuff: Dark is a master theif, and the family pet can transform into Dark's 'wings' as well as a duplicate Daisuke (who can't talk very well, and is generally stupid)...

It's really cute and I'm definately loving it so far ^_^ I think Angel mentioned that ADV was going to release the anime? I hope they do so soon ^^

Any thoughts peoples?

I read the first volume. And I really like too. Um...I think the anime dvd is already out. But I could be wrong.

The anime DVD is not released yet. I haven't heard any news from ADV about the release date yet. I say give them a few more months.

I saw the first... 9 episodes? and I have to say, I was really MEH about it. It borders on something cool, but at the same time it lapses into bland drivel that makes me wanna hurl.

Spoilers?

Specifically:
Comedy: is decent, but sometimes it's a strain. The whole transformation because of love, that was... all right. what made it bad was the use of the photo. What made it good was that there was the obvious hints at an accidental love with the other sister.
Action: Dry.
Drama: Sometimes witty, other times, contrived and trite.

Everything else... I was really thrown off by all the back-history. Everything seemed to warrant an explanation. That threw it off from the main storyline.

I give it a 5 out of 10.

Thats what i want the manga and the anime, heh i want to read all the animes i've seen that includes DN-Angel but all i gotta do is find the directions to anime plus then i can buy some stuff including OST.
