I'm not really sure but I have heard of it. It seems like a mix of cowboy bebop/trigun and boogiepop phantom. I could be wrong though.

It's only just what... a bit over an hour in length?

I'd say an hour is not too much to spend on anything, even if you don't end up liking it. I say go for it. The art is nice, and the story is at least mildly mindfucking - plus there's androids being dismembered in a brutal-looking fashion, and you can't go wrong with that. :roll:

i think its worth it. iv seen it a few times. its a really good scifi/action movie.

I own it and it's ok. I didn't really like it though. I'd skip on buying it if i were you.

yeah, i didnt like it much either....it kind of...sucks...but then again i hate akira too. :?

ah ha so im not the only one. im not a big akira fan either. i mean it was well animated and i really liked the bicks and shit but im not a fan of the story. gits is sorta strange to but i liked it.

Either way though, if you do like it (whoever is asking, i dont remember :roll: ) then i suggest looking into the crappy show they are making for it, though i have no info on it :lol:

I saw Akira at my X boyfriend's house and thought it ...interesting. It wasn't my tpe of anime. I couldn't follow the story line. It was pretty good animation though. Just not the type I like.
