Riddick anime??
i was browsing through the anime selection and i noticed some thing called Riddick: Dark Furry. it was done by Peter Chung. does any one know if its any good? do i have to see Chronicles of Riddick first or what? is it just me or is other movies out there starting to copy Animatrix? i mean look at what followed after them. Star Wars: Clone Wars. Kill Bill v1( the anime flashback scenes) and now Riddick. though SW: Clone Wars isnt really anime but hell it was animated none the less.

Re: Riddick anime??
You can hardly say that Kill Bill v1 copied the Animatrix. The anime Flashback Scene isn't a copy of the Animatrix, its a product of Quentin Tarantino's own jacked-up mind. Really, I have never seen Anime and movies mixed together like Kill Bill did, so it is actually very original. Heck, the original idea for Kill Bill was conceived around the time of Pulp Fiction which was well before even the Matrix came out. Now I don't know when the thoughts to make the Matrix came into the Wachowski brother's mind, but this shows that Kill Bill was not taken from the animatrix, as the animatrix was not made till they saw the success of the Matrix. If you need even more convincing, The Animatrix was released only three or four months before Kill Bill v1-or at least I think thats when they were released. I don't think Tarantino would go and completely change a section of his film just to copy the semi-successful Animatrix in such a short time.Bebop0083 wrote:i was browsing through the anime selection and i noticed some thing called Riddick: Dark Furry. it was done by Peter Chung. does any one know if its any good? do i have to see Chronicles of Riddick first or what? is it just me or is other movies out there starting to copy Animatrix? i mean look at what followed after them. Sorry I really like Kill Bill. The other stuff you mentioned could be copying the Animatrix. The Clone War thing just sucked, but Riddick seems like it woould be like the Animatrix-or at least have the same goal as the Animatrix and that would be to fill in gaps and give back story and such.
But there was another thread on this same Riddick topic, so go look at that one. I'm so lonely.
