Dang, this could get really interesting.
And it works, too, especially if you remind yourself to think about the combination while you're falling asleep. I've induced YYH/RK dreams that way (I dream YYH all the time since I watch it constantly, or write about it, but this was after comparing characters for a video - days of constant thinking about the two and falling asleep with them on the brain). Naturally, though, it was YYH dominant with just a bit of RK - I couldn't separate my favorite to get equal emphasis on the two (aka, I was Kurama watching Kenshin and Hiei fight outside - I couldn't get any closer to the RK 'idea' than that in the dream).

What is really neat is if you try to cross non-anime with anime, or two completely different things. Try Star Trek and your favorite anime (preferably a shoujo anime, or school anime - something that isn't sci-fi in nature). I think the closest I got to this sort of thing was a Rayearth/Aliens dream (the first movie - namely the scene where the alien first shows itself in a nasty way). It didn't last long, but it was screwed up, I remember that. ^_^;

The first anime dream I had was about DBZ and that was a long time ago! My ex-bf used to tell me what happened in dbz episodes since I didn't have cable or satelite at the time and I didn't have enough monies to buy any tapes.

I've had tons of anime dreams since than, but one of the ones that stand out the most is this one where Spike was chasing me and I kept trying to tell him he had the wrong girl, but I couldn't talk. Than he shot me and I was shocked and than I think it was Vash who was telling me it was a privlidge to be shot by spike. I was thinking what the heck, are you kidding me and than I woke up.

I've had several dreams about Inu and every time I wake up I'm like go back to sleep go back to sleep! hehe! The one that was the best is when he said he was going to become human for me (I think I was Kagome though, dunno =\ ), but still *swoon* Inu

The list goes on.. I guess I'm happy I can remember most of my dreams, cause they make great stories! Well, mine do anyway =\ ;)

There was a thread on rec.arts.anime.misc about this a few months ago. Some of the results were very interesting.

The closest thing to an anime dream I have ever had is a nightmare about setting up for a club showing, and everything was going wrong.

Ahhh just remembered something...

My entire childhood I played tons of video games starting with Atari and then Nintendo, ex. I used to have Zelda Link II dreams or Metroid like every night... I'd always be trying to upgrade my sword or find a heart piece from what I can remember. Wonder why watching anime doesn't work....? :cry:

Wow yesterday I had a mighty good dream, like I was elected as the new leader of the Crossbone Vangaurd (from gundam F-91) and the Earth federation was at it again killing innocent spacenoids and I was the only person with the power and the suits to counter those attrocities. And at the end there was a great battle but nobody won and so a peace is sign and Crossbone Vangaurd became the new police force of the feddies.
And I took over control of those Feddies.

I've dreamed some strange shit in my life time and most of it is of my own anime/manga stuff. Actuly there was a dream that was kind of like the end of DBGT but it felt way to real.
Only time I say no is if someone asks if I've had enough.
