Ehh...I don't like Dragonball and all the other forms of it simply because it's not the type of anime I watched. Although the few episodes I've seen of Dragonball GT are okay.

Dragonball was my first anime and I liked the stile of the earlier episodes, but soon I found better stuff and I realized that the series is not so good as other anime.

But to defend Dragonball the manga is much better than the anime because those realy boring "standing around and wonder how strong the other is " parts are not so extreme as they are in the anime.

Something I don't think anyone will argue with is that the Dragon Ball Z and all such Dragon Ball series' are well known. Even if we do disagree over whether or not that qualifies as making it a good anime or not. Wheresoever you go to find a fan-base for it, you also find a hate-base for it. Sometimes it seems like the haters outnumber the lovers of the series. But either way, it provokes something out of people.

you know i agree with most of you even though i like the series i think that people that watch DBZ are closed minded and thats all they like. I may like DBZ but i like others besides it the animes i like are as follows.

Trigun
cowboy bebop
The vision of escaflowne
I, My, Me strawberry eggs
wolf's rain
Dragonball
DBZ, and gt
inuyasha
Ah! my goddess
FLCL
Gundam seed
Kaleidostar
Princess tutu
Excel saga

these are just a few of what i like... no think thats all the animes that i really like.

DBZ blows (i used to like it but i was in 6th grade..... and when you are 10, even shit looks cool). Why does is suck.... well, its always the same shit. Bad guy comes from outer space, fucks everything up, good guys fight but get their ass kicked by the bad guy, Goku shows up, saves the day, then 2 episodes later its the same shit.

Good thing about it is that it introduced me into anime.

I hate the Dragon Ball Z for the fact it is the same s$%( over and over again. Goku saves the planet dies and comes back to life. Saves the day, dies and comes back to life. I mean come on Dragon ball Z is the most pointless anime out there. It gets to damn repeatative and it gets old after a while.

And besides we already had this topic a while back. Why are we bring it up again.

i think ur argument is more repetative than dbz

goku only dies twice in the whole near 300 episodes
1st while holding raditz... he doesn't die with Frieza... and 2nd with Cell... he doesn't die with buu... if DB/Z HAD ended with Frieza as intended, then that would have been his 2nd and final death.... but it wasn't, so it's not and he doesn't...

..but i agree on the fact that this issue is old news, i think when ppl bring it up again in a generic (non-specific) way, a mod should post a message to use the Search option and then lock it

as for the whole exchanging of fists and kicks=fight scenes... they're martial artists... what else would they do, and i found the fighting to be quite entertaining because it's so exagerated and centered on actual combat skills... so as always, as everyone always says, it just comes to whatever people like or dislike, action-fans (like myself) will tend to like DB/Z/GT, and other people that like to focus on the mind rather than the body will like other type of anime

..in the end we all meet halfway and watch bebop 8)
(don't forget, you can always simplifiy anything to seem simply... but try not to, life's more interesting that way
