Black Characters

Ok... so I really want to do a Public Enemy AMV (Either Fight the Power or Revolverlution)... and I hit a snag. With the exception of Chocolove from Shaman King, I can't really find any black characters in Anime. And while Public Enemy shouldn't be confused with the Panthers, it would be rather redundent to use white characters.

So, what other animes, if any, have any, preferably main, characters that are black?

Can't think of any with Main Characters but... Street Fighter has Balrog. Dragon Ball had Commander Black... darn that's about all I can think of.

Some black anime characters: (Note, some of these are debatable, but could be passed off as black for the sake of a video)

*Admiral Cowen - Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
*Claudia LaSalle - SDF Macross
*Millard - Macross Plus
*Loran Cehack - Turn A Gundam (debatable, but since he's the main character, figured it was worth giving a shot)
*Arthur Jung - Gundam F91 (...he's around for all of 5 minutes, but he's there)
*Doohan's assistant (can't remember his name) - Cowboy Bebop
and
*008 - Cyborg 009

Uub from DBZ/GT. Then there's Miles (I think that's his name) from the Wild Horses Session of Bebop. I think there could be a few in Blue Gender but they're minor characters so their names escape me. Can't think of too many others.

There's that girl from Berserk (not sure if she's 'black' or some hispanic mix) and Anthy from Utena if you're looking for female characters as well.

Title character for Nadia Secret of Blue Water is black.

Hakeem and that assasin with the glasses aboard the prison ship are prominent black characters in Cowboy Bebop.

Er, hard to say, but does Royce Sylabus from Armitage III count as black?

weren't two of the cyborgs black?

aha! evidence! I don't remember their names.

Also, in Bebop, there's the kid from "Brain Scratch". Sure he doesn't move, but whatever. I found a website where it says he's called Ronsy.

...can't think of any others that haven't been mentioned.

theres that hacker kid from the bebop movie and that guy who watches over the planet in dbz. or is he the helper of the guy who watches over the planet. meh hes up on that little thingy in the cloudes.

you mean Mr. Popo. I don't think he counts, because his skin is quite literally black (as opposed to some shade of brown) and he looks like a caricature of a real black person to me, rather than a black person drawn anime-style. But that's your call.
