I prefer serious or dark anime. Like Boogiepop Phantom, Spriggan, Trigun, or Blood the Last Vampire to name a few. But I also like comedies. Hell, I love Azumanga Diaoh and Love Hina. But serious or dark animes are my preference.

im with Brolly on this one. im all for the blood and violent anime. if they have a good story then its that much better, but sometimes im just in the mood for a low on the story high on the violence type of anime. im the same way with the games i play. :?

I love romance, comedy, fantasy and a little bit of action too. Just as long as it's not to cliche - I suppose I'll watch just about any type, as long as it's amusing ^__^

I like anime, it's a genre in itself

I like anime that deals with a certain theme or even "moral of the story" type thing. An anime like Trigun with it's stance on the value of life or Gundam Wing with what's-her-face's extreme pacifism are good examples of anime with an ideology. I've heard that Evangelion has some kind of Christianity element and it makes me curious and I'd like to see it. That's what I enjoy the most, but I'll watch just about anything, really.

You all seem to agree with me on the romance anime thing, but some you go for the anime that interests you when you need it to. If you feel like laughing you'll watch a comedy, and everyone has their own likes/dislikes and I hope no one follows the crowd and watches what their friends watch so they can be in the so called "in crowd". I like that all of you had something to say and hope you keep on comin with the reply's, and if you do have one I'd like to take a poll of who likes which anime best the poll shall be out of Hoshi No Koe a.k.a. Voices of A Distant Star, Inuyasha, Trigun, and .Hack//sign. Tell me what you love and the poll shall be taken. Until next time. Peace

There is an "in" crowd that watches anime?

Well in some places anime isnt that big a deal or just hasnt taken such a big effect on the people. Where I live anime is really big and dare I say but there are even anime preps which I thought could never happen but it has and pretty much its sad that the one thing an anime fiend should hate, and anime fiend has turned into and I hope that doesnt happen to anyone else cause its living hell with these people.
Peace
