What got you into anime?!

A friend of mine was really into anime, so I started watching miscellaneous stuff with her (an ep of Noir, Koge-pan, Hoshi no Koe, other things like that). Another friend before this had told me of the glories of Eva, so the first-mentioned friend and I marathoned it one weekend and I've been addicted to anime ever since.

Disney movies really...since I was already hooked on animated entertainment getting into foreign animated works wasn't too hard.

It's mostly Scintilla's fault. It all started to snowball when I agreed to him coming over and we'd marathon Fushigi Yuugi...then we watched some FLCL...Excell Saga...azumanga Daioh...he lent me Evangelion.... But before then I had been exposed to the Cartoon Network and I had seen Princess Mononoke at a graduation party.

Well I'd seen parts of Poke'mon and DBZ (dubs) and was like, "This is some retarted shit." One day I started to watch Poke'mon and started to like it. Then I caught a few episodes of the Freeza saga from DBZ and I got into that. I mainly watched those two shows and Digimon. Just last year I saw some of Cowboy Bebop and that really got me interested in more anime. So I watch I liked some anime before Cowboy Bebop but I guess you could say that Cowboy Bebop was the one that really did it for me.

It was (yes, scarily enough to say...) Sailor Moon that got me addicted to Jap anime. At first the only animation I really watched was Marvel & DC (Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Justice League...etc), but when I was 6 or 7 I came back home from school DYING to see X-Men only to realize.. it was CANCELLED! (Lord I was pissed, I still am, lol. X-Men: Evolution is okay..) So I was just flipping through some channels, and happened to stumble upon the first airing of Sailor Moon. Not only was I infatuated with the show for the whole damn entire time it was aired, but I was infatuated with anime forever more. lol. Cowboy Bebop is great! So is Trigun... I never really liked DBZ.. SORRY TO ALL OF YOU DBZ FANS!

Also, with the inspiration of anime, I learned how to RP. Hehehehe.

My brother introduced me to more violent anime, but when I was little I watched Megaman, My Nieghbor Totoro, and Kiki's Delivery Service.

What got me into anime was several things. Outlaw Star, FunIMATION chat (LONG time ago) and various things until I became a fan! Plus I've collected dvds and manga for almost two years now.
