Cartoon Network get's a C+

Post by liquidx084 » Sun Aug 01, 2004 10:36 pm

I remembered when they had "Midnight Run" with YuYu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, and other anime. And in the afternoons they had Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin. also YuYu Hakusho (they had other anime on but, i can't remember them). Cartoon Network used to start anime at 11p.m. when it still had the "Mignight Run" block. But, slowly they changed the format in both afternoon and night anime showings. The afternoons used to be like 3 hrs of anime then went to 2 hrs, then back to 3 hrs, and so on. As for the night they cut it an hour too. "Midnight Run" ran from 11p.m. till 2a.m. But, they need to get Trigun and Cowboy Bebop off air for a couple months. I've seen BeBop on 9 straight times through on Cartoon Network and Trigun about 5 times through. They played Witch Hunter Robin like once through at nights. Now, it's on saturdays. "Robot Week" was cool as hell too, they showed Neon Genesis Evangelion and Macross (Robotech).

I hear that. The mindless/pointless humor of that show will be greatly missed during the hellish weekdays.

Actually they did show it all the way through twice, it takes a second time for me to finally understand whats going on. For once I knew the end of an anime before my son. He was buying the dvds and cartoon network played it before they were all available. I bugged him for weeks with little hints of what was coming, I threatened to tell him the ending. It was funny, getting him all wound up over it.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Thank you someone agrees with me. WHR was a complete waste.

What are the episode numbers for the four filler episodes in Wolf's Rain?

Oh, WHR was THAT bad. But I understand where people wouldn't like it. It's not all mindless action.

And as much as I love Cowboy Bebop...they have to get rid of it. AS has showed the series forever. I think it's time to toss it aside for a while and try for a new series.

Whoops! Sorry for the double post. I meant "WHR wasn't that bad"

And I forgot to add this: The filler episodes of Wolf's Rain were episodes 15, 16, 17 & 18.

Adult Swim should put Pilot Canidate for Goddess back on though. I really liked that show.

 I can not wait until Full Metal Alchemist comes on (is to be in Oct.) And Case Closed is cool. Could barely stand witch hunter robin. Lupin is better than that. Yes, I also like Trigun.
Imageon shinomorikyo @ yootoob, I have a borderline disgaea 'amv' with voices by me... with not really an amv but almost. I plan to make it into one eventually

Try as I might, I just could not get intrested in Witch Hunter Robin. On the other hand, I watched Trigun almost religisly. I have every eppisode on tape, or at least I did untill... Oops... Magnets are BAD. VHS's worst enemy... Evil magnets...
