I'm a Sailormoon fan! Mainly because it was the first anime I ever saw so it hold a special place in my heart. Awww... I haven't seen Stars though.

I have seen screencaps of PGSM, and that has got me interested. The opening song is really catchy too.

I like SM and I'm not afraid to say it, its not like I'm a trekie.

Amusingly SM didn't appeal much to me when it came out back in the early-mid 90's, more of a fan now.
Back then I thought: "Is it just me or are there naked girsl on tv?"

Only watched it cause I was bored and because of Sailor Uranus & Sailor Neptune (loved their attacks). 8)

What got me back in the SM track were Sailor Moon fanfictions.

Sailor Moon rules...along with 300 hundred others.

One of the 'converted.' Didn't get into it when it first aired on USA Network (edited and dubbed); until a few years ago, I was a detractor (I STILL refer to the main character as Moon Freak -- only now not so harshly

). Then uncut, subtitled SM videos entered the market, and I slowly got into the series. Now, I've got all of the uncut DVDs of Sailor Moon that have been brought out in the US, so far.

The S motion picture was the big turning point for me; even when it was on USA and I didn't care for the show in general, Luna was a fave character of mine (ANYONE who has to put up w/ the Moon Freak on a daily basis deserves sympathy!!). Then I saw the S movie in the original Japanese (either fansub or first tape release, I'm not certain); the main focus of the story was, of course, Luna falling in love for the first time. That got me started.

Luna is STILL my favorite character in the series. Fave senshi? Mercury; Brains and Beauty (although she's shy about both

).

the first anime i watched was astro boy

but sailor moon brought me into anime.
i dont mind the live action, its better then the dub and everyone is cute. ^_^

You always remember your first. Or DO you? Basically, I credit the program Star Blazers as the program that truly introduced me to Japanese animation (at least, it was the first animated series I enjoyed that I KNEW came from Japan -- don't look at me that way, I was seven!). However, for years I could remember watching -- and enjoying -- another series BEFORE Star Blazers (I even had a lunchbox from this particular series -- I wish I still had it, it might be worth something now). But for YEARS, I couldn't remember the name.

It wasn't until a few years ago that I determined that it was Battle of the Planets that I saw before Star Blazers.

Hey.. and welcom to the forum. I use to be a big Sailor Moon Fan... I would watch it every single day even if they were rerunds. I think that Sailor Moon was one of the reasones why I fell in love with Anime. Well anyways I would say my favorit charactor had to be... Sailor Jupiter (Hope thats spelled right O_o) Mostly cause she could hurt anyone that made her feel less or even messed with her friends.. Sounds a little korny.. but thats mostly why she seemed so cool to me. ^_^;;

Like someone said the only live action SM I've seen is in a video, an AMV titled PGSM You Wish.
It's actually a good video but creepy and scary.
My brain can't accept people dressed as the senshi, it's just too weird plus if it's akin to the Power Rangers...god no.

Although I watched PR anyways.
Oh well at least the senshi look sort of cute.
Wait I take that back, Mars and Jupiter look cute, Moon looks ok when she's normal and the other two senshi creep me out.

I'll take the manga and anime over this live action any day, call me a purist if you will.
Who am I kidding?
I'll probably watch and buy the live action anyways.
