a wise investment
frist off, let me just say im posting this topic half asleep please forgive my typoes.
i want to invest in some good mecha anime. some type of high-tech android girl anime. i got some good idea on what i mite get. i was wondering if you knew any good mecha anime that goes a little into the tech thay use and not just calls them 'robots' (like steel angel kurumi). something like ghost in the shell or armitage or something with a scienifik theme to it. if you dont know any, dont waste my time and post something pointless.

there was a thread a few months ago I think about android girls, that might be helpful for you. Let's see if I can think of some.
Alita/Gally (Battle Angel Alita)
Mahoro Ando (Mahoromatic)
Melfina (Outlaw Star)
Tima (Metropolis)
and my favoritesL
Alpha, Motoko, and the other 2 who are in the manga but not theOVA (YKK, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikyo)
there's an andriod in episode 10 or 11 of kokoro library, but I don't think it's what your after.

The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.

Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.

Not sure if it's exactly what you want but Gunparade March is a very solid new mecha anime. Mixes a some action, a little romcom, and a lot of surprisingly emotive content. It doesn't follow the classic one-or-two kids vs the baddies cliche either, but has conscripted kids as part of a unit. The art style is very nice, too.
