People who like anime....

I feel as if im the only person who likes anime and isnt a nerd. I go to a store to check some anime videos all the time and they are infested with nerds! Theres a few type of people i classify is nerds. The guys who dont take showers. The guys with overbites and glasses. The guys who never take showers and have major acne. And the guys who are just plain ugly.

While im not trying to get flamed or anything, and hope no one took the above messages insulting. I feel like im the only normal person who likes anime! None of my Gfs have been into anime either and i know very few people around me that like it. Someone post ideas on this please.

Don' look at it as "I'm the only anime fan who isn't a nerd", look at it as "I'm the only anime fan who IS a narcisitic preppy little twerp."
Incidentally y'prob'ly not the only one, but y'are the only one dumb enough to present himself so.

Should have figured i would get flamed about this. Im in no way "preppy" for one thing. Im just trying to say it seems like no one normal likes anime where i live. Im not just saying this by how they look either. These guys usually act kinda weird too. So maybe you could chill out a bit?

I think the reason you dont see normal people into anime is becuase normal people care about there images when they go to get anime or samething in which nerds dont give a damn.the normal person would go through means not to be seen like wearing a trenchcoat and dark sunglasses to the store.like me.i would probably get shot for something like that around where i live.that why i love this placce

Every so often someone like you comes along an tries to set himself high on the food chain somehow. Y'no different from the guys who roll in an say "I spent $9000 on anime stuff!", or "I'm in a band!", or "I know japanese and can watch anime without subtitles!". The only thing that sets YOU apart is that "I'm cooler than everyone else!" is quite possibly the lamest claim of being special that I eva' heard.
You're not special, you're a loser, you prob'ly ARE a nerd an' y'just too self absorbed to realize it, now go try an' make a video then MAYBE someone around here will give a damn about you.

I agree with that

but define "normal"

If you saw me on the street you wouldn't be able to tell that I like anime at all. I'm not saying I'm a prep perse, but I've been told I don't strike many people as an anime fan. dunno why.

No, but competence in the field is pretty much all that matters in the 'hierarchy' of a site dedicated to it
