were can i get these rare animes at?

Post by The_Collection » Mon Aug 16, 2004 8:06 pm

i have the first 5 eps. of momoiro sisters and i was wondering if any one knew were i can get the full dvd collection. i check a couple of website and found nothing! this is a really hard anime to fine and i need the rest for my collection.

oh, and i been looking for this one anime for the last 5 years, its called 'mermaid scars' i rented it from block buster one time, i thought it was cool, so i when back to rent it again and it was no longer there (creepy) maybe all this time i had the name wrong so ill tell about it. its about how if you eat mermaids flesh you can become immortal of it would turn you into a monster. so this little boy ate it and became immortal and gave some to her mom, she ate it and became a monster, so the little boy had to kill his mom. sence he was a immortal little boy he had to go around and feed the flesh to women so thay will become immortal and take care of him....

and while im at it, can you tell me the name of this one? its a old one show on the scifi channel how in this school the day kept repeting itself and after a some time the kids figured it out. then all the people in the city disappeared so thay had a field day in the city (blowing stuff up with tanks and what not.) but then thay wanted to leave the city and could not, one girl said thay should fly a plan out of the city so thay did. but when thay were flying out of the city, thay realized that there was only the city floating in space on the back of a giant turtle.

if you can tell me about any of these animes i would be very graetful

In order :
1.) Momoiro Sisters has not been licensed yet, so you won't be able to find a legitimate Region 1 dvd set of that.

2.) The title of that anime is actually "Mermaid's Scar". It was created by Rumiko Takahashi, and is in the same series as "Mermaid's Forest". I've seen the manga available, but wouldn't be able to help you out with finding the anime itself.

3.) This movie is Urusei Yatsura : Beautiful Dreamer.

UY: Beautiful Dreamer is available on DVD.

The Mermaid's Forest DVD is out of print (from CPM/ US Manga).

There is a Mermaid's Forest TV series. CD Japan has the R2 DVDs, but it appears Pioneer/Geneon will be releasing it in region 1:

Geneon announced the following acquisitions at their panel today: Saiyuki Gunlock, Shin Getter Robo, and the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology. They also provided more information on titles already announced, like the new Mermaid Forest TV series, Tenjou Tenge, Tetsujin 28th, and Gigantor.
