Yeah, me and the boys here tried comming up with an actual definiton for the term Gundam, but I think we narrowed it down to two things:

1. Is it piloted by a human?
2. Is it called "Gundam"?

So that's not really much, but hey, we couldn't do much more.

In Trigun, Episode 5 i believe, when Meryl first realiszes that Vash may infact be Vash the Stampede. As the smoke settles there is a backshot of vash with his coat blowing. He appears to be standing on tons of rubble but if you look closely the rocks appear to be shaped into a giant revolver (Adleast thats what i see) :)

Some *gasp* non-Gundam fun facts:

-In the end of 'Macross: Do You Remember Love?' two of the 'missiles' Hikaru fires inside of Bodolza are actually a flask of sake and a Budweiser can

-The original seiyuu for Lupin III also did the Japanese dubs for Dirty Harry

-Yamaguchi Kappei (Inu-Yasha, Sai Sici in G Gundam, Usopp in One Piece) is the Japanese voice for Kyle Broflofski in their dubs of South Park

-In 'Aim For the Top! (Gunbuster)' posters for Totoro can be seen in one of the rooms.

Isn't that Gundam related? I'm sure you know that Totoro is the original creator of Gundam.

Actually, that was Yoshiyuki Tomino... Totoro was one of the many works from Studio Ghibli (full title 'My Neighbor Totoro')

Man do I feel like an idiot now. Heh heh heh. Anyway, I got confused because I associate the Gundam names and whatnot apear as usernames on a board and I throw associations together with them. GundamTotoro is one that really messed me up.

Did anyone else catch the Metallica spin off in the series Yu Yu Hakusho? The name of the band in the series that Kuabara went to see was Megallica and they had the exact same font/logo style as Metallica...kinda surprised they didn't get sued. :P

Probably a bit off topic, but has an anime ever actually gotten sued for something like that?
