The dubbing that gave Funimation a bad reputation and people still love it. Anyhoo, I'll shut up about it now.
Kind of ironic since, if memory serves, Funimation didn't actually take over until after the Ginyu arc...memory serves Saiyan Saga was dubbed by... ...I want to say it was Saban, but I could be wrong.

Hell, Funi's actually expressed interest in going back and redubbing it with the clipped out stuff restored, right now it's just a matter of waiting for the license on those episodes to expire
I always thought it was Pioneer.

(BTW, all the people that said RahXephon as a good dub, you would be correct)

Pioneer's only involvement with Dragonball Z is with the first 3 movies.

And the original VHS releases of the first 53 or so episodes.

It would be nicer to see a better dub on the DBZ series. But unless Funi uses a better script writer and voice actor director (and probably different VA) for the series, then there really wouldn't be any point to redubbing the series. To tell you the truth, I don't think there is a point to redubbing the series all together.
Funi would probably lose money. The entire DBZ series has aired on CN already and has been watched to death. Perhaps the hardcore DBZ fans would buy the DVDs (but then again, they might complain about the changes  ). Perhaps, I'm just seeing the glass as half empty. A better dub would be nice, but it's really just beating a dead horse.

I'm sorry I lied. I said I would shut up.

Giving PERFECTION to DBZ, Case Closed and Lupin The Third?! You have got to be on crack. It is blatantly obvious that DBZ was completely messed with. I have never seen the subbed version, but still I can see where things have been changed. Lupin The Third has jokes in it that only apply to the past couple of years, yet it came out in the 1970's. I could be wrong about this, but I think that there have been some serious name changes to the characters and other things to make it seem more American.

I'm not on crack. I might be seriously messed up in some ways, but I'm not on drugs.

I think most of the voices, not all but most, of the voices on DBZ fit the appearence of the characters. Unlike most people, I don't compair them to the Japanese voices. I just compair them to the what I think they should sound like. (And I think Adult Goku sounds much better as a guy(Sean Schemmel), than a girl(The Japanese Chick).

As for Case Closed, I have not heard the Japanese version at all. I just started watching it this summer. You're right, I should have put in the Fair catagory.

Same with Lupin The Third. I have not heard it in Japanese. I don't have much opinion on it. But it sounds like the voices fit the characters.

And it is all my opinion anyway. It's not like you have to agree with it. That's the beauty of "individuality". We all think "differently".

Sincerly,

You forgot to add Hellsing onto the list of perfect dubbing <_<.

As for the worst dubbing ever, try sitting through an episode of Beyblade. For $20, I'll come and cheesegrader your eyes. It's more fun and feels better :P

and whoever said eva dub was bad, booo to you. It's good. I still hated shinji just as much as the jva, Asuka was just as irritating and overbearing as the jva, and rei was just as emotionless and uncaring as the jva. Maybe Dr Akagi could have been better but it has been a while since I've seen the dubs.
God I could not stand the EVA dubs. Miyato, Rei, and Akari had some of the few good voices in the show. Shinji had about the pussiest voice ever in the history of anime, and Asuka sounded like she was holding her nose and speaking in the highest voice she possibly could.
