Inyasha or Naruto (which is better?)
I must say, i turned down both of these anime's at the beginning, because i'm more a fan of realistic anime, jin-roh, grave/fireflies, gundam etc..
And Naruto killed me in the opening episode when i saw them fighting this gigantic demon. And Inyasha as everyone knows has plenty of that, but yet i watched a Naruto music video and the fighting seems more precise to what i was looking for, it reminded me alot of Ninja Gaiden.
Yes i know both main charahters have demon possesed souls, but my question is, which one of these is worth giving another chance, Inyasha or Naruto? For story, plot, and action.

This isn't a pointless thread. untouchable212 just wants to know how people would rate the plot and action of Naruto and Inuyasha so he/she can decide which to watch.
I haven't seen any Inuyasha so I can't comment on that. I tried to get into Naruto but the 5 minutes of recap every episode and the generally slow pace of the plot annoyed me. Supposedly it gets better after 30 or so episodes, but I only got into the teens and it was just 5 minutes of recap, 5 minutes of action and the rest is just whiny angst.

naruto is better by far... i was an inuyasha fan and still am but to be honest, inuyasha is kinda "falling off"... after the episodes with the shichinintai (hope i spelled that right) its been down hill. this is especially ture when compared to naruto, which has (aside from episodes 101 and it looks like 102) only been getting better.

I'd have to agree here. If your going to watch an anime for the long haul, which both of these would require, i would suggest naruto. The creator is a genius at story telling and suspense, its a much better show.shadow050 wrote:naruto is better by far... i was an inuyasha fan and still am but to be honest, inuyasha is kinda "falling off"... after the episodes with the shichinintai (hope i spelled that right) its been down hill. this is especially ture when compared to naruto, which has (aside from episodes 101 and it looks like 102) only been getting better.

Inuyasha is mostly a romance/fantasy anime, while Naruto comes out as an action/drama anime. Sure, IY has some action - parts are wicked really - but the plot is mostly 'girl from another world' romance.
If you're a fan of 'realistic' characters, and prefer action over repeated subplots, you'd be better with Naruto. If you're a fan of romance with a continued slapstic humor tossed in to counter the sappy angst, you'd want to go for Inuyasha.
I like IY, but the action isn't drawn very well, isn't animated well (at all), and pretty much is just there for show - protect the girl and add fantasy to the romance. I wouldn't consider it the same 'type' of anime that Naruto is.

As a massive Rumiko Takahashi fan, I love ALL her work, I have to go with InuYasha. People who don't even watch Anime or don't even like it watch InuYasha and are pleased with the show. That speaks volumes about the talent of Takahashi alone. Sure it's a bit sappy, but romance is the prime centerpiece of all of Takahashi's works.
Out of all her Animes the animation style and sprinkling of computer animation make it the best animated work so far, and what's better is the Anime sticks to the Manga plot line a lot better than most other Animes. IY doesn't have the sheer hilarity of Ranma 1/2, and maybe it can't measure up to the action content of Naruto, but when it comes to nasty-ass villains, IY just keeps coming up with better and better content.
InuYasha edges out Naruto, though I'm not saying the other show sucks by any stretch of the imagination.
