Synopsis in Anime News Network wrote:The highborn Himemiya Chikane is cool and aloof, the perfect young lady of good breeding. Kurusegawa Himeko is devoted to her, and secretly her friend. Their lives are undisturbed in their school, until an ancient evil suddenly rears its head. To combat it, Chikane and Himeko must take on the roles of shrine maidens of the Moon and Sun.
I've seen the first 6 episodes of this series on fansubs, and it's actually pretty good. There seems to be a love triangle present in this series which deals with Chikane, Himeko, and Himeko's childhood male friend Souma; guess which two I'm rooting for?

There are two things that sort of bothered me. The mecha battles Souma has to go through against some downright lame enemies (except for that bishounen enemy who has a relation with Souma) seem VERY out of place in this series; it usually involved Chikane and Himeko being the "damsels-in-distresses" inspite the fact that Souma must protect those two maidens. So yes, there's an angsty bishounen in the series (plus a few others) so fangirls won't feel left out when watching it.
Oh yeah, the opening song AND the ending song is sung by KOTOKO which unbeliveably rocked!

Hot screencaps are here and here!
