Samurai X the motion picture.
Always a good watch, as nothing to do with the series, except that characters in it.

Any of Miyazaki's movies. Kiki's Delivery Service, Laputa, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away are all currently available in the US.

Also the movie X is also good
The Earth is longing for a revolution. A revolution humans will not get in the way of. To do that, we will wipe out all that pollute the Earth.

I've heard good things about Tokyo Godfathers.

Yes, it's an excellent movie. I'd also recommed Millenium Actress.

If you can find it - Wings of the Honiamese (sp)

That is an awsome movie... Though I can NEVER find it...
Annoying, obnoxious and opinionated.

Definetly any of Miyazaki's movies.

Also:
-Grave of the Fireflies
-Ghost in the Shell
-The Ranma 1/2 movies
-Cowboy Bebop the movie (although I stronger reccomend the series)
-...and some others i'll think of later...

[Oh and btw don't be scared of commitement; watching a series is often more enjoyable because of the on-going story line instead of an isolated motion picture. I would recommend getting into watching series.]
God's in his Heaven, All's Right with the World - NERV
