Love Hina question

Post by Pezz » Sat Nov 20, 2004 8:24 pm

hey i just got the following love hina stuff:

Love hina series
Love hina spring (movie?)
Love hina again

what order should i watch them in? Does it matter? I'm guessing love hina again should come after love hina series.

BTW is there a christmas special or is that included in the series?

Thanks

Series first, movies second, OAV third.

Question answered. :o

And the Christmas Special is not included in the series. It is sold either in a set with the Spring Special, or by itself.

Second question answered. :o

There's also the Manga, which covers the series, movies, and OAV, but with a slightly different story.

Correct order is (for those who may not know which is the OAV and which are the movies):

Love Hina (TV series)
Love Hina Christmas Special
Love Hina Spring Special
Love Hina Again

I like the Manga better, the meat of the story is the same, but with less stupid stuff, like all of the battles they have in the series with Su's inventions.

The manga is (subjectively, at least), much, MUCH better. They focus and expand on the important aspects of the story better, it actually finishes in a more proper fashion, and I just find Akamatsu's manga art a lot more appealing, character designs especially. That's one reason I actually like the OAV quite a bit - because they get closer to Akamatsu's original designs than the series ever tries to.

If you can, get the manga. It's definitely worth it (I own almost all of it in Japanese, myself).
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

X2

I also think the manga is funnier than the anime. I sometimes almost died reading the manga, but the anime.....
